Hey Alex DeWitt, thanks for your feedback. Your Work is designed to be any object you have interacted with recently, so if you've viewed it, it'll show up there. I also just use Command + K to quick search recents, and don't use Your Work at all. All that is to say, we've heard this feedback before and the page is in our cross hairs as part of a wider simplification/IA clean up piece coming very early next year 🙂

Hey all! This is super useful insight for us as we continue to iterate on chat and agents. I'm jumping in with some context on how it works today, and where we're going. First call out is chat does not weight any object higher than the other in Dovetail (ie, highlights, vs data, vs insights). There is a good write up in our help center from our AI engineers on how we've built it to date. We are not looking to change this infrastructure, but rather give ya'll more control in product. Specifically this call out from Emi F.:

I would prefer being able to manually control whether it is using Data, Insights, Highlights, etc.

Right now if you create an agent, you can call specific projects and folders to run the agent against. We intend to expand this to all objects in Dovetail - eg highlights, insights, and this same tool calling will be available in chat! So basically, you'll be able to have a prompt like: Compile feature mentions of chat in the last 30 days across @product-folder and @support-channel, group similar asks, quantify frequency, and include example quotes. Only include data that is highlighted or has been included in insights in @project. We're running to the finish line with our roadmap for this calendar year and I'm really hoping we can achieve this, so stay tuned 🙂 Hope this is helpful, and as always any feedback or further questions are always appreciated! 🧵

Hey Daria, thanks so much for taking the time to let us know. This has been flagged by a couple users and we've got fixes deploying to help. There's a wider piece of work underway across chat and agents to improve citation reliability, which is likely to take a few weeks of engineer work, but the quicker fixes should see some improvements in the coming days!

Hey Ashley I've spoken to a few customers who connected Pendo Listen to Dovetail (channels) because the insights they were collecting there were still essentially in a silo. Pendo was the collection tool, and a level of auto analysis as well, but pushing that data into Dovetail allowed for it to contribute to the wider repository of research, sales, support tickets etc! Hope that's helpful 🙂
