Issues with View Selection Disappearing in Highlights Feature

I'm working with my highlights and I have two views added but the place where I can choose which view to show disappears occasionally. I tried flipping between Data, Insights and Highlight which did not help. I had to go out of the project and in again to get the menu, and when I had chosen the right canva view the menu disappeared again.
