Concerns Over Intercom's Impact on Slack Help Conversations

I learn a lot from other people’s help questions — but Intercom seems to be diverting the conversation out of Slack at the beginning of a conversation, removing the benefit that others get from the threaded convos. Is this just the new way of handling help?
