Clarifying Differences Between Chat Responses and Insight Docs

After prompting in the chat, I've found that that Insight docs that can be generated differ from the actual response in the chat. Is this on purpose, or something that is getting lost in translation? My assumption is that if I generate an Insight from the chat response it will copy that exactly into a document.
