Frustrations with Missing Survey Responses in Data Files

·
·

Hi there, I’m having the most frustrating experience with questions/answers. I have a handful of questions that I asked each participant in my study. I have logged all of their answers within the user’s data file in the project, but in the Data table sometimes the responses do not appear. I have to open the data, and manually edit the question responses for it to “refresh” itself in the table. Now recently it’s gotten even worse and I’ve lost entire responses. For one user, it was their entire survey. All of the answers cleared themselves in the data file and now I need to go back and watch the video again to fill it out again. This of course also affects the downstream answers charts in my insights. Not sure whats going on but ive spent a lot of time having to play with this during this study.

    1. 1.

      that's rather experience-breaking...

    2. 2.

I hadn't thought of using these structured blocks within a transcript / notes doc during a session. That's a great use of the feature and I'm going to steal that strategy. 🔥

Emi Fogg Yes it is! 🫤 This is the only way I’ve used Q/A so far, maybe you can help me expand my horizons a bit… how else do you see Q/A being utilized?

I'm toying with it for survey analysis, but there's a couple of lack-of-customization headaches with the way that data is displayed in the resulting graphs that's prevented me from using it too much

Totally understood. The graphs could use some love in dovetail, agreed. Not much in terms of customization options. Thank you for getting back to me, much appreciated.
