Enhancing Insights with Meaningful Citations Preview

put-the-customer-first Shoutout to the way citations preview when generating an insight from a chat. Instead of just previewing the content, populating a meaningful message is very helpful! Next step: Preview the relevant inline text? 🙏 EDIT: Huh! I ran a different chat and the resulting insight did have inline text. I guess it depends.

This has been a case of "lack of user knowledge when something changes"

AHA "anywhere" stumped me. I was expecting to find it under More.

I just gave it a shot. Here's how it went

    1. 1.

"What themes have surfaced over the last quarter for Data pages with the title "[redacted]"?

    1. a.

      It does ok

    1. 2.

"How does this compare with feedback from H1? (so feedback from January 2025 - June 2025)?"

    1. a.

It forgets and begins pulling notes with other titles. Successfully looks at older data

    1. 3.

"Keep focusing on pages with the title NPS Feedback Analysis"

    1. a.

It still pulls pages with the wrong title despite saying otherwise.

This is a general issue with LLMs. Sometimes I cannot risk a misunderstanding / forgetfulness of instructions. I need cleanliness of the data set first. AI analysis of said data set is great. But a nice AI analysis run on the wrong data is still wrong. This is why I have leaned on Search for so long. I use Chat inside of projects when it doesn't matter if I use the entire project's data set or not. But being able to use the AI generated Insights feature or Chat would benefit significantly from being able to manually say what data to include or not.

That shows Projects as the result. ie "only show me Projects as a result". That's not what I mean. I mean "Show me highlights, data, Insights from XYZ project"

Missing Project Filter in New Search Experience: Need Clarification

🔍 New search experience missing filter: I can't filter by project What I want to do: Filter by: Project + "title contains" + last quarter Why: In-project chat can't filter, and I want to see what themes have surfaced over the last quarter for Notes (Data pages) with a specific title I tried to select the "title only" filter and typed the common prefix I put in the page title as a workaround, but it pulled non-matching titles from other projects as well. EDIT - typing with quotation marks fixed it BUT the need still stands: Sometimes I will want to use the filtering capabilities of Search, limited to within a certain project, or across a few select projects. This is very helpful for doing project level analysis, as I can filter for tags or combinations of tags and get summaries in a way that Chat doesn't support today EDIT Solved, can do this under "Anywhere" filter

It’s a bit misleading to promote chat on the homepage if it’s not as able to search globally compared to Search. The Search function used to be what was promoted on the homepage and that worked better / led people to try filtering or using keyword search to narrow that context window.

Visual Artifact: Odd Highlighting Issue Reported

🐞 Some odd highlighting visual artifact just popped up! It's one highlight (so not multiple overlapping ones).

Concerns Over Limited Chat Functionality in Workspace Search

I recently got a complaint from a colleague that Chat is very limited/recency biased on a workspace level. They were trying to search for general info and it's clear that it's just sampling from very recent work. I have not noticed the same issue with global Search. I advised they just use Search when asking our repository things at a global level. I've noticed the same thing myself. (Chat is great at a project/page level but not workspace level) Not asking for any particular action, but sharing that feedback and my current workaround.
