I only upload videos and then work from the transcriptions.

That's my understanding of currently functionality too. I don't think Dovetail is where the interview is hosted.

A few other tools are moving in that direction (making notes during the call; the discussion guide is embedded into the project + call) but personally, I find it better to give the participant my full attention while taking notes with a physical note book - then reviewing afterwards. Deep, slow thinking is underrated!

Anahita J. Sorry to hear that! Yes, technically they are building a repository with video tagging abilities, and they also do recruitment. 🙁

Hi Anahita J., at Dext we're currently using Great Question as our consolidated tool – including unmoderated.

Until last year, we were using Userlytics but I didn't find their UI to be very modern and they have a credits system that was a little confusing. Hope this helps!

So I tried the translate function again on the existing video (so not the one I downloaded again) – and today it worked perfectly.

Hey Cameron, thanks for checking. Unfortunately I don't have the original video file anymore, and it was someone else who conducted the interview so it might be tricky to get. I'm happy to let this one go, and will come back if I see the same error happen again 🙏
