Issues with Downloading Highlight Reel from Canvas

I am trying to download a highlight reel that I created from the canvas by grouping several highlights, but after I hit “Download” it is taking an unusually long time. Are you having issues? The reel is about 5 min long and it should not take this long? Wanted to check and see if you are having issues on your end.

I too am experiencing unusually slow downloads – even 1 minute clips are taking incredibly long to download

Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing that and I'm sorry to hear that you're running into the same issue. I wasn't able to replicate this on my end unfortunately. Would you be able to confirm if you've had the chance to go through the browser troubleshooting (clearing the cache and cookies, using an alternative browser)? Are other teammates running into the same issue?

Hi Tomoko C. Lisa K. 👋 Just an update from my end, our team just released a fix to improve the experience that you're seeing here. Would you be able to try logging out and logging back into Dovetail and try downloading a reel again to see if the lag is still there? Thank you!

Preparing a short 1 minute clip for download just took <2 minutes, the other day it took around 30 minutes. Much better!
