Hi Dovetail team, this isn't urgent but one of my videos failed to translate from French to English and I was told to contact support.

I think something is wrong with the note itself. I tried to copy the note into the same project, and it failed. Are you able to reupload this video again? Don't delete the original, upload the video again as a separate note, and then try to process the translation again once it transcribes.

Hey Cameron, thanks for checking. Unfortunately I don't have the original video file anymore, and it was someone else who conducted the interview so it might be tricky to get. I'm happy to let this one go, and will come back if I see the same error happen again 🙏

Alrighty, sounds good. If anything, you can try downloading that video by selecting the meatball menu (...) on the video.

Then, upload it as a separate note.

So I tried the translate function again on the existing video (so not the one I downloaded again) – and today it worked perfectly.
Perhaps it was something on that particular day that caused the crash, but now it's fine 🤷
