How to Follow Researchers and Get Notifications in Dovetail

Hi, could you remind me how we can follow a researcher in Dovetail to receive notifications whenever they publish something? Is it also possible to get notifications when there's any new activity in a project? If so, can viewers receive these notifications, and if so, how (e.g., email)? Thanks lot!

Hi Dominika, Thanks for reaching out. 👋 Happy to help out! To follow a user, navigate to their user profile and click on the bell icon located at the top right corner. You can view and manage notification settings for users by navigating to Settings → Notifications → Following. More info found here. For project notifications, you can enable three types of notifications: when any changes are made to the project, when insights are published, or when comments are added. ** To set up your notification preferences for a project, open the project and select the title to open the drop-down menu. ** Next to 🔔 Follow, select ••• to select what types of notifications you’d like to receive for the project.
