I came to surface the same challenge - I want to copy quotes from my canvas board to a word doc for my report, and I have to open the data file and find the specific quote, highlight, and copy it. It would be so helpful to be able to be able to copy text directly from the canvas. (semi-related, i would also like to be able to edit notes directly in Canvas mode (any any highlight view) that would propagate back to the data file. I will find typos or incorrectly transcribed words during analysis, but it takes much too long to open the file up each time I want to edit it)

In case I am missing this feature too - is there a way to ‘tidy up’ or organize highlights on the canvas, like aligning, removing overlaps, snapping to a grid, etc?

Ah - I see it now, thanks. I didn’t have this Views setting turned on so I didn’t see that menu on the left. Got it now, thank you!
