👋 been struggling with simple file upload to Data: trying to upload files as PDFs or PPTX (max. 40 MB) but i keep getting the upload failed error. the files open as normal on my machine, so i don’t think there’s a problem with the files themselves. eta: this usually takes a couple of minutes of “in progress” to “failed” and i make sure to stay on the page while in progress. i don’t remember having this kind of issues before…

for PDFs & PPTX, the file sizes were between 4MB - 40MB; for a video file i just tried to upload, the file size was 3-4 GB
I don’t have a different device for work, so unable to confirm this, but I’ve tried 2 different networks (work & home)
Not able to confirm for others today, but they haven’t had issues this week

Hi Armina, Thanks for that information! Could you try importing the files via Google Drive or OneDrive instead? To connect your Google Drive account, open Settings, locate Google Drive and click •••. Next, select Connect and continue to login to your Google account, review requested permissions, and confirm the connection. Once connected, you should be able to import these files via Google Drive. Same thing for OneDrive, navigate to ⚙ Settings →Integrations and locate OneDrive in the integrations list. Next, select Connect and continue to login to your Microsoft account, review requested permissions, and confirm the connection. Otherwise, are you able to share the files with us?
hi Jazmin was OOO since Friday. i can only upload from Files, because we don’t have permission to use Dovetail integrations with the rest of our workplace apps, like Zoom or Google Drive. the problem persists for me personally, while my colleagues seem able to upload video files as normal. i’ll DM you a couple of the examples of the files i’m struggling with!
Thanks for those additional details, Armina! I was able to import those files without issues. You can find them in your project HERE. Since you’re the only one experiencing problems in the workspace and I didn’t encounter any issues on my end, it seems likely that this is related to your device or network. Can you submit an internal IT request to have your IT team whitelist the following URLs: 1. dovetail-prod-attachments-files.s3.amazonaws.com 2. dovetail-prod-attachments-files.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com 3. dovetail.com 4. Dovetail company domain::[https:://peakon-uxr.dovetail.com](https://peakon-uxr.dovetail.com) It would also be helpful for them to check if any VPNs on your network or device might be blocking uploads from Dovetail.
