    Misleading Updates Email Notification Causes Confusion Among Admins

    very misleading “updates” email notification (not sure if 🐛 or intentional): as one of the workspace admins, i receive these “updates” emails, which i’ve interpreted as “teammates have done something in the workspace” — which is also how it’s phrased, see screenshot. so far, this is incorrect: the team members didn’t create any highlights, and there’s no new highlights in the project. i now assume what “team members created x highlights” actually means is “Dovetail AI has suggested x highlights” (which it has), but this is very misleading phrasing, when those AI-suggested highlights were never accepted, and, again, the mentioned team members never engaged with these AI-suggested highlights. is there a reason for this phrasing? impact: i initially took the email at face-value and assumed the teammates had auto-accepted all the AI-suggested highlights after i had instructed them not to do so, which created a very confusing follow-up conversation with them! it’s not a huge issue, we have a positive workplace culture here 😄 but it leads to unnecessary confusion.

    hi Jazmin was OOO since Friday. i can only upload from Files, because we don’t have permission to use Dovetail integrations with the rest of our workplace apps, like Zoom or Google Drive. the problem persists for me personally, while my colleagues seem able to upload video files as normal. i’ll DM you a couple of the examples of the files i’m struggling with!

      for PDFs & PPTX, the file sizes were between 4MB - 40MB; for a video file i just tried to upload, the file size was 3-4 GB

      I don’t have a different device for work, so unable to confirm this, but I’ve tried 2 different networks (work & home)

      Not able to confirm for others today, but they haven’t had issues this week

      This has been for 3 different text files (2 PDFs, 1 PPTX), and 1 video file (MOV)

    Trouble Uploading PDF and PPTX Files to Data: Error Issues

    👋 been struggling with simple file upload to Data: trying to upload files as PDFs or PPTX (max. 40 MB) but i keep getting the upload failed error. the files open as normal on my machine, so i don’t think there’s a problem with the files themselves. eta: this usually takes a couple of minutes of “in progress” to “failed” and i make sure to stay on the page while in progress. i don’t remember having this kind of issues before…

    the only thing i can think of is that you used to be able to download an image of the canvas (and not really good res, at that), but i struggle to find that option in the current UI

    Issues with Contributor Video Uploads in Dovetail

    hello, one of our contributors is unable to upload videos to dovetail — this is the same kind of videos we used to upload previously without any problems (mp4, a normal filesize — under 300mb), nothing different in our setup. as an admin, i was able to upload the video (!) but i can’t be doing it for every single video 🫠 is this a temporary issue or has something changed in contributor access settings?
