Guidelines for Informing Participants About AI Transcript Analysis

Hello everyone! I recently got to know about Dovetail and one particular question i have is does your team inform participants that their transcripts might be AI-analyzed? And if yes, how do you phrase this in consent forms or onboarding materials?

I’m curious about this too! One thought is that if I’m using a secure AI that’s integrated in the tools that I already use and trust (like Dovetail), then it would be less essential to inform participants about than if we were dumping transcripts into ChatGPT

I think it would only need inclusion if their data were training a model for public use. If their data are being used internally only (as stated in the consent form etc) and being used in analysis by internal (contained/walled) tools, then I don’t see the need.
