Yeah, in our case we have a lot of viewers who have very different needs, and for them I have created these custom views. I could see that priority one would be for editors to do this instead of viewers, but it would be valuable to viewers to do this as well.
If I could go wild with scope creep for a moment 😅 I could even see a process in which I can create multiple views and save them and I could just send them the links to those views (even if they are not able to create them). For example, we offer furnished apartments around the world. Some of the links I have sent are:
For a regional manager: A board data view with interviews filtered by specific cities (note field)
For someone in the photography team: A table view of highlights filtered by photo-related tags
For someone in the pricing team: A table view of highlights filtered by price-related tags
For a PM: A table view of insights filtered by an insight field related to their product
These are real examples, I have already done this, but the problem with my current setup is that I always have these available and I don't need to have them visible to me (or to each other). I understand this is a bit different to what you were asking about, just adding this here for context in case it sparks any ideas 🙂
