Experiencing Lag When Highlighting and Tagging in Transcripts?

Hi, is anyone else experiencing some serious lagging when working with highlights and tagging in a transcript? It's not even the AI feature, just me wanting to add a tag to highlight and the response to the click is super slow to the point that it feels non-responsive. (Using chrome, already cleared cache etc)

How big is the transcript? I have had multiple complaints when working on transcripts of interviews over 1 hour

Thanks for asking! They're not even that long. Around 30 min. And since we've only just started using Dovetail, I have only 5 interviews in this project with maybe 10-15 tags. (I've used it before though, and in my memory Dovetail was always normal/fast/like you'd expect)

It doesn´t look like any systems are down. My best advice would be to log out of Dovetail, close chrome and try fresh again. Sometimes Chrome is just not compatible with Dovetail, it´s not the first time I have heard that. Otherwise, you can ask a question in your workspace by pressing the "more" button below settings, go to help - contact us- and then ask a question.

OK, I see. Would Safari be better? Do you have any insight on that?

I have never had or heard any issues on Safari from my teams, so that may work better

Mirjam D. was this issue resolved for you? Our team is having this same issue of lagging, and not just with highlights and tagging in transcripts -- if I try to create a new group of tags on a tag board the new group doesn't show up until I reload, and sometimes have to do so multiple times. Will try using Safari and see if that fixes it.

Miriam Donath Safari makes it better, but I still get lags sometimes and I also need to reload in general sometimes when working intensely with the data. Dovetail has definitely known faster times 😅 But yes, Safari is better than Chrome.
