Hi everyone! My name is Sarah, I'm a Product Designer at Dovetail. Thank you for the feedback! To provide a bit of context for the ability to highlight/tag silent portions of the transcript - this is a bit of a tricky design problem! Essentially, our platform has been optimised to help you make sense of qualitative data - so all our features (eg. highlighting/tagging) have been designed to allow you to work with qualitative data. Silence is a bit tricky because there is no qualitative data to work with! We have been working on a few designs that would allow you to select portions of silence by inserting blocks that represent that silence, and allowing the interaction with those in the same manner as you do with text. However, there are a multitude of data support challenges that we are trying to tackle! Things like allowing support for different data types (eg. surveys, which we undertook end of last year, or usability testing, which would require the ability to highlight silence), we are constantly looking at and taking on customer feedback to help us prioritise. Feedback like the above helps us to understand what are the most important challenges for our users, which we can take to prioritisation, so thank you put-the-customer-first

Makes total sense Rachael F.! Thanks for the detailed response. This kind of filtering is definitely on our radar to improve - getting input from customers like yourself helps us prioritise appropriately so thank you!

Hi Rachael F.! Currently, we would advise you import data as a field when it is metadata, that you primarily want to use to filter, rather than analyse. Importing as content is when you want to analyse the results (see charts, or even highlight free text). We do not currently allow filtering via content, although this kind of question based filtering is on our radar. (eg. if Question 1 asks for user role, allowing you to filter Question 2 to only responses from a single role from Question 1.) Would love to hear a bit more about your use case and understand what you are trying to achieve?

hello Hannah L.! Lovely to hear you're getting value from this feature! If you are adding it to another insight in the same project, you will be able to manually access all your graphs through the slash command menu. If you hit slash, and then search for 'answers', you will have a list of all the generated charts that you can either add individually, or all of them at once. This will only work inside the same project though, does this match your need?

Hey Juandiego! Thanks for reaching out. Currently we do not have a way to quickly add a tag chart into an insight - the closest we can currently advise is to take a screenshot and add in as an image. I've taken note of your request though! Could you tell me a little bit more about how you'd like to use the data in an insight?

Thanks for the feedback Sofya B.! We are taking a look at how our automation works holistically, and this is great to take into account. Could I ask a couple of follow up questions?

    1. 1.

What did you want to do with an 8-note summary?

    2. 2.

Did this represent all the notes in your project, or only some?

    Thanks again!
